Meet WERC

Colleen GrzanColleen Grzan joined W.E.R.C. as a volunteer in 2003 and within several months, became Animal Care Coordinator, rehabilitating native wildlife and training non-releasable animals for educational programs.  She is also Bobcat Supervisor, part of her job being to dress up in full-body costume to feed and interact with orphaned bobcat kittens so that they don’t become habituated to humans when they’re released.  Colleen writes the W.E.R.C. Animal of the Month stories for South Valley Newspapers.

Assisting contributors are W.E.R.C.’s Executive Director Sue Howell, who has over 25 years experience in wildlife rehabilitation and education and is one of the founders of W.E.R.C. in 1990, and Teresa Stephenson, Outreach Coordinator and exemplary wildlife volunteer for over 6 years.
